I've had people ask, "what do you paint?" Landscapes? Portraits? I never really can say just one thing. I paint them all. I paint what I see and what I love.
One day I couldn't stop thinking of my sister who was separated from us after our mom passed. I painted her in a way I've never painted before. She loved Mickey, Disneyland and smiley faces.
I paint with my heart. That's the only style I know. The rest is just learned skills. But my heart and soul is what drives it. I don't think about what will sell or if someone else will like it. Afterwards, of course I like to hear what others think, but during the process I really don't hear what the rest of the world says of it.
