It seems like forever since I've picked up my brushes! But it's not because I haven't wanted to! There have been some huge life changes since June!
My husband and I have rented for many years. This past year has been the last straw with the restrictions, prices and just overall moving all the time. So we figured it was time to buy and we bought a fixer in the country of Southern CA.
My canvas has become our home and we have slowly been tackling one room after another. Weekends and the time after our 9-5's (it's actually 5am-5pm!) are completely taken up by house work. Leaky pipes and leaky doors are getting fixed and replaced as we go, trying to outrun the winter weather.
I pulled out my art supplies and it sits idle on the huge back deck overlooking the property. My canvases are all still wrapped up and in storage. In the meantime, I'll show a little of our 1977 fixer upper work in progress! Hopefully the new year will give me a little time to paint some of these amazing views while sipping wine on the beautiful deck watching the sunset over the trees.
